Gai is based on the beautiful Dunghutti lands on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales. But while Kempsey may be home, Gai’s heart and inspiration are driven by her travels across Australia, where she gathers treasures from every corner of the country to incorporate into her designs.

Manhuti: The Spirit of the Walkabout
The name Manhuti comes from the Dunghutti language, where it means to “travel along” or “walkabout.” It’s a term that resonates deeply with Gai, as her love of travel and exploration is central to her creative process.
“I chose this name because I love to travel around Australia, and as I do, I collect little bits and pieces that I love to turn into deadly jewellery for you to take on your walkabout,” Gai shares.
